t is January, 1943. The lights come up on the New York hotel room in which Dr. Nikola Tesla has lived for the past ten years. Near the end of his life, alone, almost forgotten, Tesla has no one to talk to now but the pigeons at the window sill... and us, his audience.

"
Look at the city!" Tesla tells us. "New York, a magical city of light, electrified by my alternating current system… Yet, you should have had all this without the wires. Unlimited, boundless energies of the ether benefiting all mankind….

What is extraordinary about Tesla? It is his superhuman ability to visualize, to make "…mental journeys to distant worlds of my own creation" and thus devise complex technological innovations in his own mind. And it is this same powerful imagination which carries us through the play, through his life.

Here’s what they are saying about actor Frank Tabbita’s portrayal of Tesla:

"
Frank Tabbita is to Nikola Tesla as Hal Holbrook is to Mark Twain."

Jeff W. Parisse, kVA Effects
"
...a fully realized drama about genius, invention and human frailty..."

Bellingham Herald
"...a virtuoso, 3-D portrait of complex, ill-fated, visionary genius... It’s hard to imagine a smarter, more dramatically impressive one-man show."
